Melo is a product of CB Link Ltd, a company registered in Rwanda. We provide cloud-based business management software — including branch management, stock control, payment workflows, and reporting — to businesses operating in Rwanda and beyond.

When you use the Melo platform, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name and address • Payment information: billing details and subscription history (payment card data is handled by our payment processors and never stored on our servers) • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, and IP address • Business data: branch details, stock records, sales transactions, and employee information you enter into the platform • Communications: messages you send to our support team

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Melo platform • Process your subscription and send billing notifications • Send transactional emails (e.g. password resets, plan confirmations) • Respond to your support requests • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse • Comply with legal obligations, including RRA reporting requirements • Send product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time)

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:

• Service providers: third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g. cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). They are bound by confidentiality agreements and may not use your data for any other purpose. • Legal authorities: where required by Rwandan law or a valid court order. • Business transfers: if CB Link Ltd is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow for account recovery, after which it is permanently deleted — except where we are required by law to retain it longer (e.g. financial records under Rwandan tax law).

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest • Role-based access controls so only authorized personnel access your data • Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@cblink.rw.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements) • Object to or restrict how we process your data • Export your data in a portable format • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

Melo uses cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in to your account • Remember your preferences (e.g. language, theme) • Understand how the platform is used (analytics)

Melo is a business platform not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are significant, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Melo after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
